Blue Sea Systems offers a wide range of Automatic Charging Relays (ACR) designed to manage auxiliary batteries with precision and reliability. These relays automatically combine two battery banks during charging and isolate them during discharging, ensuring efficient power management in boats or vehicles with dual battery systems. Charging both banks from a single source, such as an alternator, becomes simple while keeping them isolated during non-charging periods. This setup provides a crucial safeguard—if one battery is depleted, a charged bank remains available for emergency starting.
The Battery Link relay automatically distributes charge to both batteries, while the ML-ACR relay combines batteries during charging and isolates them during discharge. The Start Isolation (SI-ACR) relay functions similarly to the ML-ACR but is built to handle high-output alternators. The ML-Series, featuring a magnetic latch for low-current operation, can also be configured for temporary isolation.
